Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has announced a major shift in her career, revealing that she plans to move away from serious roles and focus on lighter comedy films. The actress said the decision was inspired by her daughter Raha, as she wants to create films that her child can enjoy.
Alia, who received wide acclaim for performances in films like Gangubai Kathiawadi and Raazi, explained, “So far, I haven’t done a single film that Raha can watch and laugh at. That’s why I want to create such cinema. Raha is the reason for my genre change. I’ve already signed a few projects, and details will be revealed soon.”
She also spoke about her current project Love and War, in which she stars alongside her husband Ranbir Kapoor. Sharing her experience of balancing work and motherhood, Alia said, “Shooting mostly happened at night, so I spent my days with Raha and worked at night. Sometimes, Raha even joined us on the sets and enjoyed being around.”
