Bollywood star Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film ‘Jigra’ has had its release date postponed. Originally slated for a September 27 release, the film will now hit theaters on October 11.
Helmed by Vasan Bala, the film is significantly backed by Alia, who ventured into production with the 2022 film ‘Darlings’ through her Eternal Sunshine Productions, collaborating with Karan Johar under the esteemed Dharma Productions banner.
Touted to be a dramatic tale centered around a sister’s unwavering love for her brother and the lengths she would go to protect him, ‘Jigra’ features Alia Bhatt in the lead role. Vedang Raina, known for his debut in ‘The Archies’, co-stars with Alia, portraying her brother.
Dropping the same, Karan Johar shared the announcement on his social media platforms with a new poster and captioned, “Courage comes to play when one of your own is at risk. Starring Alia Bhatt & Vedang Raina – #Jigra arrives in cinemas on 11th October, 2024.”
Speaking about Alia’s professional commitments, apart from ‘Jigra’, she is set to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next ‘Love & War’ with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. Additionally, she will also appear in the highly anticipated film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif under the direction of Farhan Akhtar.
