Akhil indirectly slams Surender Reddy

Akkineni Akhil bagged another box office turkey with his latest outing, Agent, which failed to make an iota of impact at the ticket windows after its release on April 28th. The disappointing result sent Akhil into a state of dormancy for a couple of weeks. He is very much demoralised with the result because his three years of hard work and dedicated efforts went down the drain. As soon as the film was released, Akhil jetted off to Dubai to ignore the negativity of the failure.

Having returned from the short vacation, Akhil took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the unexpected debacle. He accepted the verdict given by the audience and sincerely thanked the cast and the crew for their efforts. He mentioned a special thanks to the producer. But, Akhil didn’t mention anything about Surender Reddy, the director of Agent.

It seems like all is not well between Akhil and Surender Reddy. By ignoring Surender Reddy’s name in his heartfelt note, Akhil indirectly pointed his fingers at the director for the film’s failure. It is well known that after the film’s release, producer Anil Sunkara openly stated that they started the shooting without having a bound script. So, he publicly declared that it was Surender Reddy’s wrong approach that led to the film’s failure. Now, Akhil too slammed the director indirectly.

Yet again, it is the director who is going to bear the brunt of a film’s failure. Surender Reddy will need a strong comeback to silence his critics.
