Amidst this, one of the high-budget movies is said to be facing a postponement. Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, which has Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu as its star and director respectively, was scheduled to release on September 25. The shoot for the movie had completed on time, and the date had been fixed along with the team being fully ready. Now, it appears that the movie will not follow its initial release schedule.
The delay is due to prolonged post-production work that requires more time to finish. The producers are now looking for a fresh release window, with the film set to be released on December 5th. It’s also significant to mention that December has been a profitable month for Tollywood releases in recent times, with films creating a huge buzz at the box office. Akhanda, which debuted during the first week of December last year, went on to be a massive blockbuster, and the producers hope that this one too will make a similar statement.
