Ajith Kumar’s most recent hit Good Bad Ugly, which featured Trisha in the central character and was directed by Adhik Ravichandran, became a massive celebration to fans. The movie was described as a mass entertainment film with high energy scenes and nostalgic flashbacks, and the director, who is a hardcore Ajith fan, packed it with a plethora of fan-service moments. Another highlight for the audience was the inclusion of a select few cult songs, which really made the theatrical experience special.
But this very attribute still made unexpected trouble for the producers. It was the legend music composer Ilaiyaraaja who petitioned a copyright case, saying that part of his iconic songs were utilized in the film without securing rightful permissions. The Madras High Court ruled on behalf of the veteran composer, and due to this, streaming giant Netflix has removed Good Bad Ugly from its platform.
Today, those looking for the movie on Netflix see a notice stating that the movie is not available. The move has provoked conversations among the fans, who now eagerly await how the team working on the production responds to the issue and if the Ajith–Trisha starrer makes a return to the OTT platform in the near future.
