Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has praised the Indian Armed Forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, a counter-terror mission launched in retaliation to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Devgn made the remarks during the trailer launch of *Karate Kid: Legends* in Mumbai on Wednesday, where he appeared with his son. Addressing the operation for the first time, he said, “No one wants war, but when there is no other option, war becomes the only way. I salute the armed forces, the Prime Minister, and the government. They carried out their duty with courage and commendable resolve.”
His statement comes amid criticism directed at Bollywood celebrities for their silence on the matter. In recent days, actors such as Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar have posted tributes to the armed forces on social media, breaking the silence.
Operation Sindoor involved precision strikes by Indian forces on terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The offensive reportedly neutralised around 100 terrorists and was seen as a decisive response to the Pahalgam attack, sending a strong message to Pakistan regarding its continued support for cross-border terrorism.
