Akkineni Akhil’s long-awaited spy thriller Agent has locked a historical date for its grand release. The makers have officially announced that Agent will hit the screens on April 28th 2023. This is the same day when some of the cult Tollywood hits like Anarkali, Adavi Ramudu, Pokiri and Baahubali 2 released and went on to storm the box office. Now, Akhil is aiming to repeat a similar feat this Summer with his swashbuckling act.
The release date teaser is packed with an adrenaline-pumping scene in which Akhil is held captive and interrogated by a terrorist group. He refuses to reveal his identity directly and says he is Osama Bin Laden, Gaddafi and Hitler. When the baddie lands a punch, he retorts with a huge beast-like roar with a menacing get-up. The violent and explosive teaser hints that the film is going to be a wild ride that presents Akhil in his career-best avatar.
Despite getting postponed several times, the film has been carrying terrific buzz in trade circles because of its exciting teasers. Now, the release date teaser is likely to augment the expectations further. Directed by Surender Reddy, Agent has Sakshi Vaidya and Mammoty in significant roles. AK Entertainment banner is bankrolling this film on a lavish scale.
