In a turn of unforeseen events, Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday over the connection to the stampede that happened at the Pushpa 2 screening on December 4. The tragic accident resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman named Revathi and left her son in critical condition.
Today, the Pushpa actor was arrested by the Chikkadapally police from his residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. He was subsequently taken into custody and presented before a magistrate in Chikkadapally, where he was initially declined bail. However, after the case was elevated to the High Court, he was granted an interim bail.
Following the news, Allu Arjun’s uncle, Chiranjeevi, and his wife, Surekha, arrived at the actor’s residence to show support. During the promotion of his upcoming film Baby John, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan commented on the incident, stating that the blame should not fall solely on one individual.
Actor Nani also extended his support to Allu Arjun, sharing his thoughts on the social media platform X. He wrote, “I wish the kind of enthusiasm government authorities and media show in anything related to people from cinema was also there for the regular citizens. We would have lived in a better society. That was an unfortunate incident and it was heart breaking. We should learn from the disaster and be lot more careful here after and introduce measures to make sure this doesn’t happen again. We are all at fault here. One person is not responsible for this.”
