Tollywood actor Adivi Sesh, with his keen script sense and string of hits, keeps augmenting a strong body of work with each movie he works on. Since Kshanam, Sesh has become a name with which quality cinema is associated with, garnering respect not only from people in general, but also from co-performers and technicians, who are keen to work with him.
So when word came that Shruti Haasan had exited his next ‘Dacoit’, the fans were left in a shock. With some of the film having already been shot, the sudden exit of Shruti and replacement by Mrunal Thakur obviously generated a lot of questions.
Putting all speculation to rest, Adivi Sesh recently addressed the matter publicly. He explained that Shruti’s exit was purely due to scheduling conflicts, as she had prior commitments to other films like Coolie. “Because of some delays on our end, her dates couldn’t align with the new timeline, and it was no longer feasible for her to continue,” he shared.
Sesh stressed that there was no fallout or miscommunication between Shruti and the team. “It was a warm, mutual decision. There’s absolutely no bad blood,” he demystified, defusing rumors of any behind-the-scenes tension.
Giving an update on the progress of the film, Sesh informed us that 60% of the shoot is already over. The movie also sees directorial debut by Shaneil Deo, who had previously worked as the cinematographer for Goodachari and Wild Dog.
“Dacoit” is preparing to be released in the Christmas of 2025, and the hype is already starting in the interim for the project. At the same time, Sesh is busy working on the sequel of Goodachari, and he is effectively making his mark as one of the leading stars in Tollywood.
