A mythological behemoth film made on a staggering 500 Crore budget needs better planning and execution than what team Adipurush is doing now. The Prabhas starrer is slated for release on June 16th worldwide. Yet, there is no proper promotional strategy on place so far. The makers announced that they will kick-start promotions from Sri Rama Navami. On the auspicious day, they simply unveiled a new poster and kept silent without any other announcement. This is another blunder from the makers. Leave about regular moviegoers, even Prabhas fans are not happy with the way the promotions of Adipurush are being handled.
With just two months left for release, the production house should come up with exciting and strong content to promote the film. But, that’s not happening with Adipurush. After facing severe backlash for the tacky and substandard graphics in the teaser, the makers went back to the drawing board to bring a better output to the moviegoers. They postponed the film from January to June to enhance the visuals in the film. Still, they are unable to convince the audiences with their content.
On Sri Rama Navami, they unveiled a new poster that is appealing for its richness. But, posters alone cannot reduce the negativity surrounding the film due to the poor teaser cut. It would have been appropriate if the makers came up with a small teaser or a video glimpse to win the trust of moviegoers. They should devise better strategies and start promoting the film in all languages because it is a herculean task to recoup such a mammoth investment with lackluster planning.
Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. T-Series Bhushan Kumar and Retrophiles are jointly bankrolling this film.
