The most hyped Ramayan project of Rebel Star Prabhas, ‘Adipurush’ which was released last weekend has completed its first-week post release. After 10 days of its run, the box office figures are quite worrisome for buyers and producers.
The project of ‘Adipurush’ ever since it was announced created its own buzz since the movie is the modern-day representation of the Indian epic of ‘Ramayana’. However, the low-quality teaser raised eyebrows but the makers managed to get away promising a wonderful output in the theaters. With tons of expectations and hype, the movie was released last Friday and bagged a unanimous negative talk. From VFX works to the bad looks of hero Prabhas, many things played spoilsport and the director Om Raut was trolled for taking over cinematic liberty. However, the star power of Prabhas managed to have solid openings. Adipurush which collected a gross of 340 crores in its first weekend ended up with huge losses for the buyers.
In the South, the buyers bought this movie for 180 crores of rupees and the movie collected only 80 crores until now leaving them with huge losses. The situation is the same in Hindi but the producers themselves released the movie on their own minimizing the losses all in all the movie ended up likewise Radhe Syam which created a record of the biggest disaster ever. Hope Prabhas gives a solid comeback with ‘Salaar’ in September.
