Actress and model Shefali Jariwala, widely known for her appearance in the popular 2002 remix song Kanta Laga, passed away at the age of 42, leaving the film and television industry in shock. Preliminary reports suggest cardiac arrest as the cause of death, though Mumbai Police have not yet released an official confirmation. The sudden demise has sparked widespread speculation online regarding the possible reasons behind her untimely death.
According to reports, Jariwala had been undergoing anti-aging treatment and is believed to have taken medication and injections on an empty stomach after observing a fast for a pooja at home on Friday. She reportedly collapsed later that night and was rushed to the hospital by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi. Hospital authorities confirmed that she was brought in around 11:15 p.m. and was declared dead on arrival.
Jariwala shot to fame with the Kanta Laga music video and later appeared in films such as Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Hudugaru. She was also a participant in Bigg Boss 13 and featured in several television reality shows. She was earlier married to singer Harmeet Singh and later married actor Parag Tyagi.
