Ram Charan’s 16th film under the direction of Telugu director Buchi Babu has been making strong waves even before going on floors. This is because of the star-studded casting and top-notch technical team. Already stars like Jahnvi Kapoor and Shiva Rajkumar are on board for pivotal roles. Oscar-winning tunesmith AR Rahman is going to score the soundtrack for this film.
Now, the team welcomed acclaimed cinematographer Ratnavelu to crank the camera for this big-budget entertainer which is set in the backdrop of Kabbadi sport. Ratnavelu is credited with working on numerous blockbuster films. His works include Rangasthalam, Robot, 1 Nenokkadine, SyeRaa Narasimha Reddy and Khaidi No 150 to name a few.
Ratnavelu is currently working on two upcoming films, Indian 2 and Devara. After wrapping up both these films, he will join the sets of RC16.
A scintillating poster with Ratnavelu standing at the door of a swanky chopper is revealed by the makers of RC16 on the eve of his birthday. “Team #RC16 welcomes the master lensman. Happy birthday to the acclaimed cinematographer and man who creates stunning visuals,” the team wrote on social media.
RC16 is likely to start rolling in May this year. Vriddhi Cinemas and Mythri Movie Makers will jointly bankroll the film on a grand scale.
