ACB Court Rejected Chandrababu Legal Mulakhat Increase Petition

Tuesday, November 5, 2024

This is yet another setback for the Telugu Desam Party Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Firstly, there was no relief with the interim bail and the judicial remand got extended till November 1st for CBN in the case of the Skill Development Scam. It’s been more than 42 days since he was in jail. Now, the ACB Court has also rejected the petition to increase the legal mulakats per day.

It is known that Rajahmundry Central Jail authorities have reduced the legal mulakats from 2 per day to 1 citing security concerns. Chandrababu’s lawyers filed a petition to increase the legal mulakats to three per day. Today, the court dismissed the petition by stating that the investigation was not possible as the petition was not filed as per the format. This is another setback for him.

In the quash petition, the apex court stated that the verdict has been reserved and it might be pronounced on November 8th. The announcement was made after the court heard both the parties arguments.
