Aamir Khan Urges Multiplexes to Change Food Policy, Shares Update on ‘Mahabharata’

Friday, December 5, 2025
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, known for his candid views on industry matters, has expressed concerns over the practice of allowing food inside multiplexes during films. In a recent interview, he called it a longstanding annoyance and urged theater managements to reconsider their policies, suggesting that snacks be served either before the show or during the interval.
“Watching a good scene and someone bringing in food mid-show is really disturbing. I have repeatedly requested multiplex managements to change this practice, as it disrupts the movie experience for everyone,” Aamir said, emphasizing the impact on audiences when films are interrupted after the show has begun.
Aamir also spoke about his dream project, Mahabharata, revealing that script work will begin in the next two months. He confirmed that the story will be presented as a series rather than a single film. Earlier this year, he appeared in Sitare Zameen Par and Coolie (key role), while his upcoming project, Lahore: 1947, is set to be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.
