A sigh of relief for ‘Agent’ producer Anil Sunkara

Anil Sunkara of AK Entertainments banner is a business tycoon who nurtured a passion for filmmaking and started producing big-ticket movies in Tollywood.

He is currently one of the top producers who is delivering quality films for moviegoers. He scored blockbusters with films like Dookudu and Legend. But, his recent track record is so dismal with a string of flops. Except for Sarileru Nekkevvaru, all his recent outings tanked heavily at the box office. The most embarrassing flop for his banner is Akhil’s Agent which received scathing reviews from all quarters. He even tendered an apology to the audience for disappointing them big time.

With Samajavaragamana, Anil Sunkara managed to redeem some of his lost glory. Made on a shoestring budget with the backing of Sunkara’s banner, Samajavaragamana emerged as a profitable venture for all parties in just the first weekend. The success of this Sree Vishnu starrer has helped Sunkara salvage some pride after the forgettable result of Agent. He is also in plans to remake this film in Tamil.

Anil Sunkara is now awaiting the result of his upcoming film Bholaa Shankar with Megastar Chiranjeevi. The film is slated for release on August 11th. He is very confident that the Meher Ramesh directional will strike a chord with all sections of the audience.

Apart from Bholaa Shankar, AK Entertainments banner is backing films like Hidimba and Ooru Peru Bhairavakona which are up for release very soon.
