R Rahman held a concert in Pune last night. However, the concert was stopped midway by the Pune cops citing the court-mandated 10 pm deadline for such events.
Now, the musician’s fans are slamming the cops, for disrespecting the legendary musician thus #DisrespectofARRahman doing rounds on Social media. Fans and netizens are expressing their anger on social media and trolling the Pune cops for stopping Rahman’s concert midway and disrespecting him.
A video of a cop barging onto Rahman’s concert stage and asking the performers to stop it, pointing to the 10 pm deadline on his watch is now going viral. As per the reports, Rahman was performing his last song ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ and failed to realize it was past 10 pm.
Earlier this morning, Rahman took to his Twitter handle and dropped a video clip showing glimpses from his Pune concert. Sharing the same, Rahman wrote- ‘Did we all just have the “Rockstar” moment on stage yesterday? I think we did! We were overwhelmed by the love of the audience and kept wanting to give more.. Pune, thank you once again for such a memorable evening. Here’s a little snippet of our roller coaster ride ;)’
