A Big Change for Government Offices in Telangana
The Telangana government might soon make an unusual move involving Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. As State Finance Minister, he plays a key role in running the state. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy could soon announce a decision to honor him in a special way.
The Photo Plan
Government offices across Telangana usually only display the Chief Minister’s photo. But now, officials are thinking about adding Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka’s picture alongside CM Revanth Reddy’s. This would be a first for Telangana since the Congress government took charge two years ago.
Why Now?
The idea seems to be about showing respect for Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka’s important work. Nobody knows exactly who suggested this change yet. But everyone’s talking about it because it breaks a long-standing tradition.
Andhra Pradesh Started This Trend
Telangana’s neighbor Andhra Pradesh (AP) recently did something similar. AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu ordered all government offices to display photos of both himself and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan together.
Court Said It Was Okay
Some people in AP weren’t happy about the shared photos. They went to court arguing it was unnecessary and wrong. But India’s Supreme Court disagreed! Judges said having both photos causes no harm and even called the legal challenge “a waste of time.”
What Comes Next?
Telangana’s proposal will go to a Cabinet meeting soon. Since the Supreme Court okayed this practice in AP, leaders feel confident about moving forward. After the meeting, we’ll know if government offices in Telangana will feature both leaders side by side!
