Directed by Gunasekhar, Telugu film Euphoria released today, February 6, 2026. The film stars Bhumika Chawla, Dhurandhar star Sara Arjun and others in pivotal roles. We will find out in the following review whether Gunasekhar has made a comeback with this film.

Story:

Vindhya Vemulapalli (Bhumika Chawla), the principal of one of the city's best colleges, shocks everyone by approaching the Supreme Court and filing a case against herself. What drives you to take this unusual step? How does her decision relate to Chaitra (Sara Arjun)? These questions form the core of the story.

performances:

Bhumika Chawla plays the central role and has some strong emotional moments. Although she acts sincerely, her character sometimes seems forced and not entirely organic. Gautham Vasudev Menon plays a key role and delivers a worthy performance.

Debutant Vignesh Gavireddy does a commendable job convincingly portraying a distracted and arrogant youth. Sara Arjun plays a crucial character and leaves a solid impression despite limited screen time.

analysis:

Director Gunasekhar chooses a socially relevant theme and touches on sensitive issues like the POCSO Act and crimes committed by minors. The film deserves recognition for its attempt to explore the causes that lead youth to be drawn to drugs and sexual crimes, while highlighting parental responsibility.

The first half works well for the most part and starts off on an intriguing note. Although some scenes seem over-extended, the emotional tension remains until the break.

But in the second half the euphoria loses its hold. The intended emotions don't connect, and while the idea of emphasizing parental responsibility is valid, the narrative becomes monotonous and ineffective.

The subplots surrounding drug-related crime and a psycho killer are poorly handled and don't captivate. Although the climactic confrontation between Chaitra and Vikas is impressive, it comes too late to bring the film back on track.

Positive:

  • Key point
  • First half
  • A few meaningful dialogues

Negatives:

  • Largely uninteresting second half
  • Unnecessary characters/scenes
  • Absurd scenes

Euphoria review and verdict:

Gunasekhar's Euphoria is a well-intentioned social drama with a thought-provoking and much-needed message. Unfortunately, after a promising first half, it loses direction due to contrived and weak narrative decisions.
