Story:
Shiva (Santosh Sobhan), an aspiring interior designer, moves to Chennai for a project and works as a bike taxi driver until his breakthrough. Mithra (Manasa Varanasi) gets an IT job but has problems with her offer letter. The story follows their connection and how they become important to each other.
performances:
Santosh Sobhan and Manasa Varanasi play the lead roles and the chemistry between them is perfect. As far as acting is concerned, Santosh has done a good job especially in the climax, but Manasa gains more impact with the way she carries her character and shows the variations according to the story. Rajiv Kanakala, Goparaju Ramana, Yogi Babu and others are appropriate.
analysis:
Director Ashwin Chandrasekhar does an excellent job in handling a sensitive plot point. The film starts off as a normal romance film but later takes a bumpy turn.
Most of the lead roles seem relatable and their struggle to find a proper career and the way they approach each other is shown naturally against the backdrop of Chennai. The romantic parts work well and the intermission ends with an interesting back-and-forth narrative style.
Couple Friendly experiences a sudden emotional transition in the second half that seems rushed. The pain the characters go through during this phase could have been explored better.
But the Kerala trip and the main scene related to it works well. The climax also ends with meaningful dialogues, fitting the style of the film.

Couple Friendly is a decent romantic emotional drama that benefits from convincing performances from Santosh Sobhan and Manasa Varanasi along with apt visuals and music. Even though there are some hectic passages in the second half, the whole thing still proves to be captivating.
