A case has been registered against YSRCP leader and former minister Perni Nani and 29 others at Chilakalapudi police station for assaulting R.Peta CI Yesu Babu. YSRCP leader Subbanna was called to Machilipatnam Town PS for questioning on Friday. In this context, Perni Nani, who went there, obstructed the duties of the CI and created a ruckus. The SP has taken the incident seriously.
YSRCP leaders led by Perni Nani recently protested at the Medical College. They did not listen police even though they said that exams were going on in the college and that they were not allowed to protest. They got into an argument and pulled out sticks. The police have registered a case against 400 people in this incident and issued 41A notices.
The police have issued notices to them to come to the police station for questioning. YSRCP city president Mekala Subbanna posted on social media asking no one to go to the police until they told him to. As a result, Subbanna was detained by the police on Friday. Upon learning of this, Perni Nani, along with a large number of YSRCP activists, reached the Machilipatnam Town Police Station.
They went straight to the CI room and started threatening him. Several YSRCP leaders also spoke tauntingly of the police. When CI Yesu Basu said that it was not appropriate to speak like that, Perni Nani got angry. Pointing his finger at him, he got angry and started threatening him by saying, ‘Will you arrest our people?’
He threatened him asking “Will you arrest our party leaders? Aren’t you afraid of us? Doesn’t the Mayor count? I will see to it that you are dead. When we come to power, we will make you lose your job. If you don’t leave our people, you will face serious consequences”. He further asked in anger and pointed at him, “’What will you do, will you hang our people!’
He warned that “If Maha is not, then you will put him in sub-jail for a week, and then we will show what we are”. On the other hand, many leaders expressed their anger at Perni Nani’s uncontrollable behavior at Machilipatnam Rpet police station, saying that it is shameful for Perni Nani to damage the morale of the police.
They flagged that behaving like a street bully without minimum discretion and respect for the system is a wicked act. Not only illegally entering the police station, but also threatening him? Criticism is pouring in.
