Popular television anchor-turned-actress Udayabhanu, who once shone as a star on the small screen, has revealed that she turned down a key opportunity in Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s blockbuster film Attarintiki Daredi. She shared this during the promotions of her upcoming film.
Udayabhanu is set to return to the silver screen with Tribhandhari Barbarik, releasing on August 22. While promoting the film, she disclosed that she was approached for a special song in Attarintiki Daredi. However, she declined the offer, explaining that she felt uncomfortable acting alongside such big stars. She further mentioned that despite being at the peak of her career as an anchor, she had let go of several film opportunities.
The actress also made a sensational allegation, claiming that certain individuals in Tollywood deliberately sidelined her. She recalled her earlier statements that a group of anchors had worked together to block her chances, often replacing her at the last minute in events she had already been confirmed for. Expressing her disappointment, Udayabhanu said she has taken these bitter experiences as lessons and revealed plans to pen a book soon detailing her journey and struggles.
