Renowned Kannada actor Shivarajkumar, who recently recovered from cancer, will soon share his battle with the disease through a documentary titled Survivor. Directed by Pradeep K. Shastry and produced by Geetha Shivarajkumar, the documentary aims to raise awareness about cancer and offer hope to those undergoing treatment. The makers have confirmed that filming has been completed, with a release planned for August.
Shivarajkumar earlier stated that he was inspired to take up the project to encourage cancer patients and to highlight the importance of early detection and mental strength. He also acknowledged the support of doctors during his treatment in the United States. The documentary is expected to serve as a motivational account of his recovery journey.
On the acting front, Shivarajkumar is currently working on a film directed by Karthik Advaith. He will also be seen portraying the role of Gaurannaidu in Peddi, an upcoming film starring Ram Charan and directed by Buchi Babu Sana. On the occasion of his birthday on Saturday, the makers unveiled his character’s first look from the film.
