Expressing strong objection to the accusations made by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar that there are 1,000 non-Hindu employees in TTD, former TTD chairman and senior YSRCP leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy expressed his anger, saying that these allegations are like an attack on the Srivari temple.
Referring to Bandi Sanjay’s demand that 1,000 non-Hindu employees in TTD should be removed, Bhumana said as a former Chairman of TTD Trust Board that he is objecting his accusation. He lamented that it is not right for a BJP leader to throw such a big stone at TTD without coming to Tirumala for darshan, without leaving after having darshan.
He reminded that the TTD board had announced six months ago that 22 non- Hindu employees had been identified in TTD and that they had been transferred. But now Bandi Sanjay is saying that there are more than 1,000 people, the former TTD chairman expressed his astonishment. He suspected that there was a conspiracy hidden behind Bandi Sanjay’s accusations to damage the sanctity of the Tirumala temple.
Bhumana challenged Bandi Sanjay, who is the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, to provide evidence if he has it. He deplored the gist of Bandi Sanjay’s comments that about 20 percent of the employees working in TTD are non-Hindus. Will the coalition government in the state support Bandi Sanjay’s comments?, he wondered.
He said that it has been 24 hours since Bandi Sanjay warned, but till now TTD Chairman, EO, government and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan have not denied it. Have they all surrendered to Bandi Sanjay? Do they support what he said as true?, he asked.
Bhumana made it clear that the state government has the responsibility to explain the allegations of the Union Minister. Bhumana Karunakar Reddy expressed his anger that Bandi Sanjay’s comments are a serious insult to the governing council and TTD employees. Bandi Sanja saying there were 1,000 non-Muslims was hurting the sentiments of the devotees as well, he added.
