Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu is among the most eagerly awaited films this year, and the frenzy among the fans is growing to a feverish level. The film looks to be a massive action drama on a historical backdrop and has high production values, flair for the theatrics, incredible action sequences, and a commanding performance by Pawan in the lead role.
While the film gears up for release on July 24, it has inadvertently also become embroiled in controversy. Several Bahujan groups have objected to the creators of the character Veera Mallu of drawing too heavily from Telangana’s greatest freedom fighter, the legendary Panduga Sayanna.. Their primary issue is that the creators have not officially recognized or credited this as an inspiration.
These communities are now demanding the makers of the film come out and confirm if Veera Mallu’s character is indeed a representation of Panduga Sayanna’s life. The call for openness is getting louder by the minute, further mounting pressure on the team as the release date draws near.
With only weeks to go before Hari Hara Veera Mallu is released on the big screen, the spotlight is now on the production crew as to whether they will attend to the matter and give the clarification being awaited.
