Vallabhaneni Vamshi Gets Bail In All 10 cases, Government challenged In Supreme Court

Friday, December 5, 2025

YSRCP leader and former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamshi got a big relief from courts. The Nuziveedu court on Tuesday granted bail to Vamshi, who was arrested in several cases including the attack on the TDP party office in Gannavaram. The court issued orders granting bail to Vamshi in the fake house patta case.

With this, Vamshi has been granted bail in all the 10 cases he was arrested paving way for his release from Vijayawada District Jail, where he is now in remand. However, the state government challenged his bail in the Supreme Court on the same day. The state government approached the top court seeking cancellation of the bails granted to Vamsi.

The Supreme Court announced that it would take up the hearing on this petition on Wednesday. This put a temporary break on Vamsi’s release. Although relief was received in the lower courts, the final decision will be taken in the hearing in the Supreme Court. Vamsi’s future will depend on the orders given by the Supreme Court.

The police arrested Vallabhaneni Vamshi in Hyderabad on February 13, 2025 in the attack on the TDP office in Gannavaram. Vamshi is an accused in this case. On February 20, 2024, the Gannavaram TDP office was attacked and set on fire by followers of Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who was then the Gannavaram MLA, and YCP leaders.

Based on the complaint filed by Mudunuri Satya Vardhan, the operator of the Gannavaram TDP office, the police registered a case under IPC sections 143, 147, 148, 435, 506 redwith 149, 3(1) (SC and ST Act).

A case has been registered against Vamsi’s followers for destroying office furniture, injuring some TDP leaders present there and setting vehicles on fire. The police identified a total of 71 people, whether Vamsi’s followers or YCP activists, as involved in the attack. The accused were identified and arrested through CCTV cameras and videos.

However, although Vamsi has already been granted bail in the TDP office attack case, the court has remanded him in the fake house title case. Vamsi suffered from severe breathing problems in jail. Vamsi was also admitted to several hospitals and received treatment. Finally, the Nujiveedu court granted bail, and Vamsi has been granted bail in all the cases.
