Former child actor Ravi Rathod, known for his brief but memorable role in the film Vikramarkudu, has drawn widespread attention following a recent interview in which he spoke about his current struggles and his past association with actor and filmmaker Raghava Lawrence. Now working as a set worker, Rathod revealed that he had once been adopted and supported by Lawrence, but failed to make use of the opportunity.
In response, Raghava Lawrence issued an emotional statement on social media, expressing deep sadness after watching the video. “My heart broke after seeing the video. I met him during the shoot of Mass and got him admitted to a school. Later, I was informed that he had left after a year. I searched for him, but couldn’t find him. Now, seeing him after all these years is emotional,” he said. “He mentioned in the interview that he feared I would be angry. But I just want to see him once. I won’t scold him—I only wish to meet him. Please come and see me. I’ll be waiting,” he added.
Rathod, who has acted in over 50 films as a child artist, shared that he lost his parents a few years ago and now lives with friends. He said he left the hostel during school holidays and never returned, eventually distancing himself from the opportunity provided by Lawrence. The emotional exchange has resonated widely with fans and members of the film industry.
