Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu lauded megastar Chiranjeevi as a pioneer among film personalities in embracing social service. Speaking at the launch of the book Mindset Shift in Vijayawada, Naidu recalled the actor’s early philanthropic initiatives.
“During my tenure as Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, Chiranjeevi once approached me with a request for land to establish a blood bank. He was the first actor to think about social service in such a significant way,” Naidu said.
The event marked the formal release of Mindset Shift, authored by Sharani, daughter of Minister for Municipal Administration Narayana and daughter-in-law of former minister and Bheemili MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao. The Chief Minister unveiled the book and presented the first copy to Chiranjeevi.
Commending the Narayana group, Naidu said, “Their institute is a benchmark in the education sector, turning ordinary students into extraordinary achievers. Narayana often joked that the institute would do even better without him.”
Naidu praised Sharani’s effort, stating, “Mindset Shift is based on an inspiring and timely subject. She has successfully conveyed how a positive mindset can lead to success. While we all practiced and rose through hard work, she is taking a step forward to help others rise as well.”
Chiranjeevi, who was present at the event, also shared his thoughts, noting that the principles in The Secret had once influenced him deeply. “Unknowingly, I started practicing many of the ideas in The Secret, and they had a profound impact on my life,” he said.
