Tollywood actor Nani has responded to ongoing discussions regarding the effect of day-one reviews on the success of films. Speaking about the issue during the promotions for his upcoming film Hit 3, Nani emphasized that while earlier reviews were somewhat tolerable, the current situation is different, and movie outcomes should not be determined hastily based on early opinions.
“I request that no one decide the fate of a movie immediately after release. If a film doesn’t receive attention for a week or ten days, then only declare it a disaster,” Nani stated. He also pointed out that while he personally hasn’t encountered such criticism, he has seen social media posts where individuals expressed discomfort after watching certain films. “While personal opinions are fine, it’s unprofessional for industry insiders to behave this way,” he added.
Discussing Hit 3, Nani explained that the film’s use of knives over guns in certain sequences is intentional, with a deeper backstory behind the choice. He clarified, “It’s not just for the sake of violence. There’s a reason for it.”
Addressing the casting of Sreeleela, Nani stated, “The decision to cast Sreeleela was made after the character of Mridula was written, and the director felt she was the best choice to bring the character to life.”
Nani also commented on his role in the Hit franchise, where he plays Arjun. “In this film, I will appear as Arjun Sarkar. However, I don’t dictate the name of the hero character—that’s entirely the director’s creative decision,” he noted.
Looking ahead, Nani shared details about his future projects, saying, “The Paradise will be released on March 26 next year, followed by Ram Charan’s Peddi on March 27. I hope both films achieve great success.”
Sreeleela, who plays a key role in Hit 3, spoke about working alongside Nani, saying, “In college, I was a big fan of Nani’s movies. It’s a pleasure to act with him. As for my role in Hit 3, whether it ends like my character in KGF or continues until the end, you’ll have to watch the film to find out.”
Directed by Shailesh Kolanu, Hit 3 is slated for release on May 1.
