Ahead of the teaser launch of his ambitious project Kannappa on Saturday, Vishnu Manchu engaged with fans on social media, addressing questions about the film and his personal life.
During the interaction, a fan brought up a past controversy involving the Manchu family, asking, “Why did you put sugar in the generator that day?” Vishnu humorously replied, “I read that adding sugar to fuel increases mileage.” This was in reference to allegations made by his brother, Manoj, who had previously accused him of disrupting the power supply at their home.
Speaking about Kannappa, Vishnu confirmed that the film is a massive project with a budget nearly ten times higher than his previous films. He also addressed reports about Prabhas’ role in the film, confirming that the star acted without charging a fee.
When asked about the film’s inspiration, he clarified that Kannappa is based on Sri Kalahasteeswara Mahatyam, a work by Mahakavi Dhurjati. He also responded to speculation about the absence of the Sri Kalahasti Temple in the Shiva Shiva Shankara song, stating, “You’ll get your answer on April 25.”
Regarding special appearances, Vishnu was asked whether Allu Arjun would feature in any of his future films. He responded, “That’s something you’ll have to ask Bunny.” He also expressed interest in playing a negative role in the future.
On the pre-release event plans, Vishnu confirmed that the event will be held in Sri Kalahasti and that Pawan Kalyan will be invited. He further praised Jr. NTR, calling him a “brilliant actor.”
Discussing his past films, Vishnu named Rowdy and Anukshanam as his personal favorites. On Prabhas’ character in Kannappa, he hinted that Rudra’s role will have “both silent and violent shades.”
With Kannappa shaping up to be one of the biggest projects of his career, Vishnu Manchu’s latest revelations have only heightened the anticipation surrounding the film.
