Kollywood star Suriya boasts an exciting slate of films for the next few years. The much-anticipated fantasy drama, Kanguva, is set to release in October, and the actor is currently engaged in shooting his 44th film, which is being directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
After completing Suriya44, Suriya is set to collaborate with renowned Tamil director Vetri Maaran on a period action drama titled Vaadivaasal. According to the latest updates, this much-awaited film, which has been in limbo since last year, is expected to start filming in either January or February of the coming year. By then, both Suriya and Vetri Maaran will have wrapped up their current projects—Suriya44 and Viduthalai Part 2, respectively.
Andrea Jeremiah is said to be cast as the leading lady in Vaadivaasal. The film is being produced by esteemed Tamil producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu, with GV Prakash Kumar handling the music score. This high-budget film is set to hit theaters in December 2025.
