Former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy commented that the TDP alliance is currently enjoying a “honeymoon” period in the state but hinted that the real political battle will begin after giving them some time. He made these remarks during a meeting with YSRCP MLCs today.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the “sins” of Chandrababu Naidu’s regime ripen quickly, recalling past instances of what he described as Chandrababu’s misdeeds. He suggested counting Chandrababu’s mistakes, comparing it to the 100 mistakes of Shishupala, and then taking their fight to the people. He acknowledged the YSRCP’s lack of strength in the assembly but emphasized their influence in the council. Jagan also called for a nationwide debate on EVMs, expressed confusion over recent election results despite fulfilling 99% of their promises, and urged his party members not to lose heart. He assured them that this is only the first half of their political journey, with the second half yet to come, and highlighted their 40% vote share in recent elections as a sign of their continued support among the people.
