Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) sacked Dr. AV Ramana Deekshitulu, the chief priest, and Agama advisor, following his controversial remarks in a viral video. The TTD trust board unanimously decided to remove him due to baseless allegations against TTD officials and disparaging comments about Tirumala Jeeyar Swamijis, temple priests, and the Ahobila Math pontiff.
Prior to his dismissal, TTD had lodged a police complaint against him, resulting in charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
