Heavy rains for about an hour or so in Hyderabad city have caused a huge traffic jam. Many important centers have been stuck with huge lanes of vehicles. Despite a short burst, the rain was too heavy in many areas. In just an hour, almost 3 cm of rainfall was recorded in the city which shows the magnitude of the rainfall.
It has been alerted that the Telangana should witness heavy rains for the upcoming three days in many areas, so a yellow alert was raised.
Very important centers like Film Nagar, Jubilee Hills, Sri Nagar Colony, Banjara Hills, Abids, Koti, Towlichoki, Manikonda, Gachibowli, and Sheikpet have been affected by the rains. There are water logs everywhere and the GHMC officials are working relentlessly to clear off those.
On the other hand, Hyderabad is ready for the Ganesh Nimarjanam that will happen tomorrow. A record number of Ganesh from the Pandals are coming to Hussain Sagar and hence the necessary arrangements were made.
