King of Kotha Teaser : Raw and Intense

After portraying boy-next-door roles, Dulquer Salmaan is appearing in a rugged character for the first time in his upcoming film ‘King Of Kotha’. The first look teaser of this pan-India film is unveiled by Superstar Mahesh Babu this Wednesday evening and it is quite raw and intense with a dark theme.

Playing out at one and a half minute, the action-packed teaser is filled with intriguing scenes that unravel in the locality of Kotha which is the fiefdom of the lead protagonist. Kotha appears to be a haven for various criminal activities besides having a folklore history. Dulquer Salmaan seems to be playing a menacing role in this gripping action drama. His stunning makeover and bold mannerisms headline this solid teaser.

It starts with a voice of a woman who says that the people of the land are awaiting the return of the king who is the saviour of their children. This is followed by fleeting glimpses of the cruel happenings in Kotha. We see dead bodies falling off, a maniac crowd celebrating and dancing, anxious faces of different characters, police investigation and gory action sequences. Then, Dulquer makes a wild entry in a frightening avatar. He brandishes a heavy-duty sword and gives a spine-chilling look to end the teaser high on adrenaline.

The pulsating background composed by Jakes Bejoy and his talented team is standout. Cinematographer Nimish Ravi did a terrific job with his excellent visuals. Director Abhilash Joshiy seems to presenting Dulquer in a never-before-seen rough character.

King of Kotha is set for release in multiple languages this August. Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prasanna, Anikha Surenderan and Shanthi Krishna are essaying significant roles in this film.
