Evergreen actress Trisha Krishnan is soon going to complete two decades in the South film industry. In the male-dominated film industries, very few heroines of the present generation managed to remain familiar with the audience for such a long time. In the twilight of her career, Trisha is continuing to charm moviegoers with her elegance and statuesque appearance. Though she is picky about her roles, the ‘Gilli’ actress is making headlines frequently.
Trisha’s splendid performance in Mani Ratnam’s historical magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 1 as Kundavai received appreciation from all quarters. Now, she is back in the reckoning as filmmakers of upcoming big-budget projects are approaching her with substantial roles. She is now the forerunner to play the female lead in Vijay’s much-anticipated gangster drama in the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj.
The formal launch of ‘Thalapathy 67’ happened this Monday. Though an official announcement about Trisha being a part of this prestigious project is yet to be out, it is almost confirmed that she will pair up with Vijay for the sixth time in her career and also after a gap of 14 years.
Trisha is also in talks for a couple of other crazy projects in Tamil. It seems like she is set for a comeback to mainstream roles after Ponniyin Selvan 1.
