The GHMC corporator and the daughter of a former minister and late P. Janardhan Reddy, P. Vijaya Reddy joined the Congress party in the presence of A. Revanth Reddy, Chief of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee. There were also prominent Congress members Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Anjan Kumar Yadav, as well as Telangana Congress star campaigner and MP Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy.
