The Group-2 mains exams, which had created a lot of excitement due to the chaotic atmosphere, ended peacefully on Sunday. It is noteworthy that despite the extreme chaos in the wake of roster points deficits, government mistakes, and leaks about the postponement of the exam, a large number of unemployed people appeared for the exam.

In the wake of the developments that have taken place in the last two days, doubts arose as to whether more people would appear for the exams. However, 92 percent of the candidates appeared and wrote the exams. The police had made arrangements at the exam centers after receiving information that there was a possibility of agitation.

The candidates had prepared intensively for the mains exam and the papers came easily. Most of the questions were asked on the basics without going too deep into the subject. The exam went smoothly in almost all the centers except one or two centers.

A total of 92,250 people were selected for the mains, of which 86,459 downloaded the hall tickets. 79,599 candidates appeared for Paper-1 and 79,451 for Paper-2. These examinations were conducted at 175 centres in the combined district centres across the state.

Meanwhile, APPSC has released the preliminary ‘key’ for both papers of Group-2 Mains Examination. The commission has given a deadline of 25 to 27 of this month to raise objections through its website. Later, the final ‘key’ will be released after correcting the mistakes.

While this confusion continues on one handm APPSC has conducted the examinations as per the schedule given so far. Meanwhile, several youths attended the exam ignoring hardships. A girl in Chittoor district faced a unique situation. On the one hand, Group-2 who studied hard and on the other hand, are getting married as they wish.

The newlyweds, who wanted to avoid any disruption to her studies, attended the examination centre in the same attire as soon as her marriage was over. Mamata from Chittoor was preparing for the Group-2 Mains examination. She was a bit embarrassed as her wedding date and the examination date fell on the same day.

However, Mamata convinced her family members to let her write the examination. As soon as the wedding was over at 6 am, she reached the examination centre, Tirupati Padmavati Degree College, directly. She attended the examination with cumin seeds and jaggery on her head and bridal clothes.
