The 69th Shobha Filmfare Awards South-2024 was held at the JRC Convention in Hyderabad on Saturday night. The event saw the presence of numerous stars from the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam film industries as the winners were announced.
The film ‘Balagam’, released as a small film with modest expectations, emerged as the best film at the Filmfare Awards. Venu Yeldandi, the director of ‘Balagam’, won the award for best director. Nani was named best actor for his performance in ‘Dussehra’, while Keerthy Suresh received the best actress award for the same film.
