YSR Congress Party social media activist Varra Ravindra Reddy was picked up by the police in Pulivendula, Kadapa district, for allegedly posting derogatory content against opposition leaders when the previous government was in power. Complaining about his content, there are TDP leaders among others.

Ravindra Reddy’s controversial social media activities increased during the general elections where he made obscene comments about YS Sharmila and Sunitha in response to what they stated against Jagan and Avinash Reddy pertaining to the murder case of Viveka. One such post for extreme action on Sunitha raised much public unrest. He had also been posting derogatory remarks pertaining to Jagan’s mother Vijayamma, and that’s how it made things hotter. Both Sharmila and Sunitha filed complaints against him to the Hyderabad police, and a case was filed against him.

His posts, particularly those against Sharmila, became viral, and the situation was further exacerbated. Ravindra is said to have continued posting objectionable content, targeting especially the leaders of the new coalition government, even after the change in government. Multiple cases have been filed against him in Mangalagiri, Hyderabad, and other regions.

He was said to be a close friend of Kadapa MP Avinash Reddy. The pictures of the youth who came out are said to have surfaced earlier on social media with YS Jagan and YS Bharathi.

Over the past few days, authorities have been cracking down on individuals posting derogatory content about government leaders on social media, highlighting the increasing scrutiny of online behavior in political discussions.
