Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s secret meeting with key BJP leader Vedire Sriram, who is known as a big lobbyist at New Delhi, particularly in the irrigation ministry, discussing with him on alleged controversies around Kaleshwaram Project, creating uproar in political circles.
He was former advisor to the Central Water Resources Department, served as the chairman of the NWDA River Interlinking Projects Task Force Committee and played a key role in the NDA government at the center until recently. But, the CWC officials themselves are revealing that presently he does not have any status.
But, now it has become interesting that he met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy was also present. The fact that the Chief Minister met him separately, even excluding the officials of the Irrigation Department, has gained political significance.
Along with the NDSA report on Medigadda, their meeting has become a topic of discussion at a time when the Kaleshwaram Commission is also preparing to submit its report soon. It is reported that the CM held secret talks with Vedire Sriram for more than an hour.
In fact, the ENC and other top officials were informed that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy would hold a review on the Irrigation Department. The CMO sources revealed that there would be a discussion on the report submitted by the NDSA (National Dam Safety Authority) on the Kaleshwaram project recently.
With this, all the top officials of the State Irrigation Department moved to the Command Control Center on Tuesday afternoon. However, the Chief Minister did not give time to them. However, the Chief Minister, who does not meet the top officials of the Irrigation Department, met Vedire Sriram, who does not hold any position, became the topic of discussion.
It is known that the NDSA report was discussed. BRS is already criticizing that it is not the NDSA report but the NDA report. At the same time, the meeting of Vedire, who worked as a key figure in the BJP, and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who has been repeatedly making allegations on the Kaleshwaram project, gained significance.
The fact that they held talks without any officials from the Irrigation Department became a topic of intense discussion. Like Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Vedire Sriram has also been making many allegations on the Kaleshwaram project from the beginning.
He also appeared before the Justice Ghosh Commission, which was formed to investigate the Kaleshwaram project, and personally submitted several reports. However, at that time, the commission also rejected all of them as baseless. That is a different matter. The commission did not even call him for further investigation.
