Akkineni Naga Chaitanya’s much anticipated rural drama Thandel, which is slated for release on this 7th, has been generating significant hype in the audience from the very beginning of the shoot because of the genre and the impressive casting. The film is all set for a solid opening in both Telugu states, thanks to chartbuster songs and the emotional trailer.

Ahead of the grand release on Friday, Thandel received a big boost from the the ruling parties in both Telugu states. The film got permissions to hike the ticket prices for the first few days and this is likely to ensure a promising start at the box office. The Andhra Pradesh government allowed the makers to increase the single screen ticket prices by 50 rupees and Multiplexes by Rs 75 rupees for a week from the date of release.
The ticket prices in Telangana will be Rs 177 for single screens and Rs 295 for Multiplexes, whereas in Andhra Pradesh the prices will be Rs 177 and Rs 252 respectively. This is a reasonable raise for a medium budget film and will help the openings for sure.
As there are positive reports for the film from inside sources, the openings are going to be the biggest in Naga Chaitanya’s career. If the film manages to secure unanimous talk, there are strong chances for Thandel to emerge as the next big hit from Tollywood this year.
Naga Chaitanya’s phenomenal transformation and Sai Pallavi’s stupendous acting mettle will be the selling points for Thandel. The patriotic touch and the episodes involving Pakistan are going to be the additional assets for this film. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film is coming from the production of Geetha Arts.
