The SIT has revealed in the remand report of retired IAS Dhanunjay Reddy and Krishna Mohan Reddy, who enjoyed proximity with former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, formed a liquor syndicate along with others and played key roles in the scam. It found that this syndicate includes relatives of several businessmen and political leaders along with high-ranking officials.
The SIT said that the accused are close to A1 Raj Kasireddy, a member of the liquor syndicate and the bribes received in the scam played a key role in transferring them to others. The remand report states that Dhanunjay Reddy, along with other accused, played a key role in the decisions of the order of supply.
It has been said that bribes were collected from distilleries and liquor suppliers and transferred to many other accused as well. However, it said that it is yet to be identified to whom they were finally transferred after collecting them from A1 and A1’s close associates in the liquor scam.
The SIT said that they participated in the meetings of the syndicate members and ensured that the bribes were received on time. In this case, they participated in many meetings along with A1 Raj Kasireddy, A2 Vasudeva Reddy, A4 Mithun Reddy, A5 Vijaya Sai Reddy, and A3 Satya Prasad. The report states that they repeatedly visited the office of A1 Kasireddy and supervised the collection of bribes.
It said that they created a system for collecting bribes and ran it and the two had complete information about where and how the bribes were invested. It said that they bought expensive properties and cars with the bribe money and those details need to be uncovered. It said that more details need to be collected from them in the liquor scam case.
For that, the SIT has asked in the remand report to send the two to custody for seven days. The SIT officials have collected crucial evidence in a way that will silence the YSRCP leaders who are claiming that cases were filed only for political reasons in the liquor case. The SIT has arrested a total of seven people in this case and identified six of these seven people as directly related to Kasireddy.
