The political scenario within Andhra Pradesh is becoming heated up with greater developments within the ruling alliance. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has recently disclosed that he could not get any contact by phone with Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan in regard to his health. Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan had been going around major temples across South India, drawing attention to his spiritual visits. At the same time, the new entrant to the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and former minister Sailajanath launched a scathing attack on Pawan Kalyan and the NDA government.

Sailajanath, a senior leader with a long history in the Congress party, openly expressed his admiration for the YS family. He also hoped for a resolution between Jagan Mohan Reddy and Sharmila, hinting at the importance of unity. Slamming the NDA government, he accused them of making life difficult for the common people, stating that his decision to switch to YSRCP was driven by the need to stand against their policies. He further called on Pawan Kalyan, as Deputy CM, to take responsibility for the state’s worsening law and order situation.

Criticizing Pawan Kalyan’s leadership, Sailajanath alleged that he was evading governance under the pretense of political tours. He reminded the ruling coalition about their much-publicized “Super Six” promises, questioning whether Chandrababu Naidu was unaware of the state’s financial condition while making them. He stressed that ensuring development and welfare should be the top priority and that mere apologies for unfulfilled promises wouldn’t suffice.

Raising concerns about law and order in Andhra Pradesh, he went on to say that it was better not to speak about it. His switch to YSRCP has led to a speculation that many more senior Congress leaders will follow suit and join the party,
