Revanth Reddy To campaign In Maharashtra

Thursday, June 12, 2025

Telangana Chief Minister and Indian National Congress politician Revanth Reddy will hit the trail in Maharashtra to campaign for the  Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition parties ahead of the much anticipated assembly elections on November 20th.

Revanth Reddy has been chosen as a Star Campaigner for Maharashtra polls among 40 others by the Congress high command in Delhi. The list and the tour schedules for these campaigners was released recently and Revanth Reddy is the only notable leader from Telangana entrusted to canvas in Maharashtra. Another Congress leader and deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikrama will campaign in Jharkhand for the upcoming polls.

Reportedly, Revanth will address rallies in Maharashtra to support the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), comprising Congress, NCP-Sharad Pawar faction and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) party. Bhatti will campaign in Jharkhand for I.N.D.I.A. bloc candidates, including those from the Congress, JMM, RJD and Left parties.

They are likely to participate in election rallies between November 8 and 18. TPCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud will also campaign in Maharashtra next week, sources said.

Revanth Reddy is known for his glib tongue and exemplary oratory skills who can influence the populace with his aggressive harangues. He has the habit of launching tirades against his opponents with facts and figures. Moreover, his rising public image and popularity in the aftermath of Telangana elections which ascended him to the throne of Chief Minister will be a big boost for MVA in Maharashtra.

Historically, Telangana and Maharashtra share close geographical, social, and political ties. The undivided Adilabad and Nizamabad districts of Telangana border Maharashtra, and many residents from these districts have deep social and family connections with regions like Nanded, Yavatmal, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, and Sholapur.

A significant number of people from Adilabad and Nizamabad have also settled in these parts of Maharashtra. So, the Congress high command feels that Revanth Reddy will attract the voters with his poll campaign.
