Revanth Reddy succeeded In Forcing KCR To sit Before Kaleshwaram Commission

Sunday, July 13, 2025

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has succeeded in forcing the former chief minister and BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao to sit before the Kaleshwaram Commission. Till now KCR has been behaving like that no one can question him, he need not answer anyone. But, KCR had to appear before the commission and answer the questions asked without saying a single word.

If Revanth is successful in making KCR sit before the commission, what will happen in the KCR affair now is becoming crucial. Moreover, unlike BRS leaders’ accusations of vindictive nature of the government,  the Kaleshwaram Commission did not really act with any bias.

KCR was sent out within an hour. It is clear that if they really wanted to harass him, they could have made him sit there from morning to evening and ask various questions, but they did not do so. The report of the Electricity Commission has already reached the Revanth Reddy government.

Even if the PC Ghosh Commission is about to submit its report on Kaleshwaram in a few days,. What action will the Congress, which had criticized these two issues severely when it was in the opposition, take on the reports of this commission? It will be a crucial question now.

The BRS has been approaching courts against the Congress regime that came to power in Telangana a year and a half ago, challenging the decisions taken. KCR has also faced difficulties in the courts regarding the Electricity Commission. KCR, who avoided appearing before the Electricity Commission for whatever reason, now has to appear before the Kaleshwaram Commission.

Keeping in mind past experiences, this time the government-established commission on Kaleshwaram has issued notices, but apart from seeking a time limit, no other efforts have been made by KCR to avoid it.

BRS leaders are arguing that apart from power purchases, the construction of power projects, and the Kaleshwaram project work have all been done according to the rules and regulations and there have been no violations. It seems that Justice PC Ghosh asked a total of 18 questions regarding the Kaleshwaram project.

The commission asked questions on re-engineering, formation of the corporation, and cabinet approval. It is reported that KCR has explained the main reasons for re-engineering at length. It seems that KCR has explained that every decision related to the project was made with the approval of the cabinet.

BRS leaders say that KCR hopes to get a clean chit to the political allegations against him by appearing before the commission inquiry and answering them. Now, what is likely to be decided in the commission inquiry? What consequences will take place? These are becoming interesting.
