The AP Biodiversity Board Chairman and TDP senior leader Nilayapalem Vijay Kumar has alleged that former DGP and chairman Gautam Sawang, along with Tadepalli elders, have been involved in the APPSC scam. He questioned why he fled if he did not do anything wrong. He criticized Gautam Sawang for telling all the lies to the court as the chairman of APPSC.
He flagged that he played games with the future of the candidates by giving contracts to the wrong company. He alleged that the previous government acted vindictively against Professor Udaya Bhaskar, who was appointed as the chairman of APPSC during the TDP regime.
Vijay Kumar wondered how they can conduct correction of Group-I exam papers at the Highland Resort? He said that along with senior IPS officer PSR Anjaneyulu, Gautam Sawang also deserves punishment in this scam. He deplored that shocking things are coming to light regarding the evaluation of APPSC Group-1 examination papers during the YSRCP government.
On the orders of the then APPSC Secretary PSR Anjaneyulu, he alleged that the mains answer sheets were moved from the commission office to Highland and evaluated there. It is known that the SIT officials are investigating the allegations that anonymous people and people without minimum qualifications had edited the answer sheets, he added.
During the investigation, Vijay Kumar said that it was found that an accused officer in this case had his car driver’s wife also evaluated the answer sheets. It seems that their statements were recorded recently. Meanwhile, the Group-1 Mains answer sheet evaluation scam case is taking a new turn.
The investigation revealed that Madhusudhan, director of Camsign Media Private Limited, had edited the answer sheets with people without minimum qualifications and committed a racket. Madhusudhan revealed key details in the remand report.
Normally, APPSC should select the evaluators and provide the list to Camsign Media. But the commission did not do so. The Group-1 Mains answer sheets were evaluated by those who did not have the minimum qualifications. Madhusudhan stated in the remand report that he was told there was no need for manual evaluation and that it was enough to enter the marks given in the OMR sheets and sign them.
Apart from this, the officials concluded during the investigation that no CCTV cameras were installed in the area where the evaluation was conducted in Highland. They said that no process related to manual evaluation was followed and all the rules were violated.
