Police Teams Sent To Arrest Ex MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi!

The police have reportedly prepared the ground for the arrest of former Krishna district Gannavaram MLA and YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi. Police have named Vamsi as the 71st accused in the attack on Telugu Desam Party office case in Gannavaram. Three police teams are said to have gone to Hyderabad for him.

It is known that 18 people have already been arrested in this case. Although Vallabhaneni Vamsi was not directly involved in the attack on the TDP office in Gannavaram, there are allegations that YSRCP groups created havoc at his instigation as an MLA. Until recently, the YSRCP government was in power and the police, who were almost Vamsi’s own men, were in key positions, practically put this case in cold storage.

However, as soon as the NDA coalition government came to power, special attention was paid to the Vallabheni Vamsi anarchy. The police have been directed to take action against the perpetrators of the attack on the TDP office. The police arrested 15 people, including Bapulapadu MP Nagesh, and later three others.

The rest are absconding. However, there has been criticism from the TDP ranks that the police have left many key accused including Vamsi in the TDP office attack case. Moreover, TDP leaders also took Vamsi’s previous comments, harassing the party ranks for four years and filing illegal cases during the Yuvagalam padayatra in the constituency.

In this background, the pressure to arrest Vamsi increased. Gangadhara Rao, who has recently taken charge as Krishna District SP, has paid special attention to this matter. As after the poll results, Vamsi’s family is residing in Hyderabad special police teams said to be sent there. But, police circles suspect that he has already left for the USA to avoid arrest in this case.
