Police seized Lokesh’s campaigning vehicle under GO-1

The ruling party is completed using the Home Ministry and Police Department under its sleeve as a weapon to trouble the opposition. Once again, the Police have tested the patience of Nara Lokesh and TDP supporters with an act of theirs.

Lokesh is participating in a long-term Padayatra and he reached Palamuru in his campaigning van. Immediately after Lokesh completed his speech, the local Police seized the van that is used by Lokesh claiming that it has a speaker and mike, which is against the existing GO-1 in order. Frustrated Lokesh sat right on the road without moving along with his followers and staged a protest. Feeling the gravity of the situation, the Police released the vehicle from their custody and asked Lokesh not to use the speaker and mike to respect the existing GO-1.

Lokesh termed the act an injustice and called the GO-1 anti-constitutional to the citizens of Andhra Pradesh. He questioned how the Police intervene without any complaint from anyone and he was just doing his Padayatra. This is not the first time the Police troubled the opponents of Jagan as they restricted the Janasena Chief to his Novotel Hotel room in Vizag and the entire incident became a sensation in 2022.
