Prime Video has officially confirmed that the Tollywood diva Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be a part of the Indian installment of the Citadel Universe. The global series will be a collaboration of the popular streaming platform Prime Video and the Russo Brothers’ AGBO.
Announcing the news on their social media platforms, Prime Video India dropped a picture of the Telugu actress along with a caption saying- the mission is on. We have started rolling for the Indian installment of Citadel. @Samanthaprabhu2 @rajndk @d2r_films @MenonSita @varun_dvn #RussoBrothers #agbofilms @AmazonStudios.’
From the poster, one can see Samantha in a rebellious yet chic look. Interestingly, the Majili actress will be seen alongside the Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan in this series.
The directorial duo Raj & DK (Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK) will deliver this big-budgeted project. Meanwhile, popular screenwriter Sita R. Menon is working on the script of this installment.
The streaming service also confirmed that the production is currently underway in Mumbai. After this, the unit will head to North India and then onwards to international locales like Serbia and South Africa. The untitled Indian Original Citadel series will be available to Prime members in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
However, more details about this venture are yet to know.
